Temple Coffee has two cozy coffee bars and a roaster in California’s state capital, Sacramento. This company is committed to sourcing single origin coffees and providing customers with monthly coffee classes. Classes are taught by owner Sean Kohmescher, who is a Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA) accredited instructor and Barista Guild of America (BGA) Chapter Representative.
The 1.5 hour milk chemistry class explained milk’s components and properties, and its application to coffee art. Class size was approximately 20 people split into two groups (one headed by Sean, and the other by Temple Barista and Coffee Fest Latte Art competitor Benza Lance). This was a demonstration class, not a workshop, which is to be offered at a later date.
